BKE is focused on providing a safe and healthy work environment and also to comply with the relevant statutory environmental protection requirements.
In 2005, BKE received compliance certificates for OHSAS 18001 «industrial health and safety» and ISO 14001 «environmental protection».
The Company’s HS&E program provides for the following :
- To ensure industrial and fire safety, labor environment in compliance with the applicable regulatory documentation Assurance that all industrial and workplace safety, as well as fire protection regulations are strictly adhered to.
- To ensure all personnel accommodation facilities are safe and sanitary at all times.
- To continuously supply employees with protective equipment such as coveralls, work boots, eye and hearing protection and what other protective equipment may be required.
- To provide training to employees on all relevant areas of HS&E protection.
BKE has developed its HS&E program based on international standard ISO 14001:2004.
BKE strives to minimize the impact that its operations have on the environment.
In 2008 supervisory audits were carried out by Bureau Veritas Russia, an independent certification body, BKE was determined to be in compliance with ISO14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 international standards.
In 2009 within the framework of the program aimed at development, implemetation and execution of the quality management system BKE adopted its Quality Policy as contemplated in ISO 9001:2008.
