ÎÎÎ Burovaya Kompaniya Eurasia has been participating in the Vankor project since 2008 after a drilling services agreement was awarded to it by ZAO Vankorneft, an affiliated company of Rosneft.
BKE has started drilling the 1st well on July,17 2008 after installation of the drilling rig Uralmash 4500/270. As of August 1, 2009, 2 drilling crews of the Company have drilled 8 wells.
At the present time 2 drilling rigs- Uralmash 4500/270 and Sinopec ZJ50DB – ST are used at the Vankor project. In order to comply with the stringent HSE requirements established by ZAO Vankorneft BKE uses a five-stage mud treatment system complete with flocculation and coagulation units and widely applies the so-called “pitless” drilling techniques requiring no storage pits for cuttings.
